Charlottesville VA Area Information

Thomas Jefferson once wrote, "I am as happy nowhere else and in no other society, and all my wishes end, where I hope my days will end, at Monticello." For those of us already living in the Charlottesville-Albemarle area of central Virginia, these sentiments come as no surprise. The stunning beauty of the landscape with rolling hills highlighted by gorgeous sunsets is simply amazing. The abundance of activities to be found in and around Charlottesville make this the perfect place to call home. With an impressive number of excellent restaurants, cultural opportunities and quality educational settings, this family-oriented community is a wonderful place to live and work.

Charlottesville is somewhat unique in that it is small enough to offer the small-town feel of a laid-back lifestyle, yet diverse enough to offer unending things to do. Thankfully not a suburb to any city, Charlottesville is still a comfortable drive to both Washington, DC and Richmond. People who live here enjoy easy access to virtually limitless outdoor activities including: hot-air ballooning, hiking, biking, fishing, camping, golfing and skiing just to name a few. The University of Virginia, high-end health facilities, Country Clubs, and many historical sites round out the area as one of the best places to live.

I am hopeful that this website will offer a glimpse into the corner of the world we call home, and also that you will contact me to learn more about life in Charlottesville.
